The role

Biofidelity is seeking a highly motivated, efficient and dynamic Head of Product Development to provide technical leadership and direction in translating our R&D into robust, efficient and high-quality clinical diagnostic products.  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, a successful candidate will play a key role in delivering our product development strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translating R&D into clinical diagnostic products that are commercialized through distributed kits and LDTs through our CLIA/CAP laboratory in the US

  • Lead a team of assay development scientists

  • Streamline design and development processes including implementing design of experiments methodologies

  • Prepare design history files for regulatory submissions

  • Prepare internal reports, presentations, and data packages, analyse and present results

  • Work closely with R&D, software development and clinical laboratory teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Technical leadership experience within molecular biology field

  • Experience with clinical diagnostic assay development, preferably qPCR and/or NGS based

  • Experience in automating molecular biology workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and expertise to complex technical challenges 

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD plus proven industry experience in leading complex product development projects, preferably in diagnostics

  • Prior experience of working in a regulated environment

  • Previous experience in managing and developing teams
