The role

Biofidelity is expanding its assay development team and is seeking a scientist to support product development and work alongside our scientific development team to ensure efficient, smooth operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Characterisation and optimisation of molecular assays

  • Design of simple, well controlled experiments

  • Detailed recording of obtained results

  • Presentation of results to the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge in molecular biology

  • Keenness to learn 

  • Ability to demonstrate a curious, proactive and problem-solving mindset 

  • Ability to develop good relationships with colleagues across the organisation

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Experience in at least some of the following areas:

    • Basic laboratory skills such as performing buffer calculations and pipetting

    • Ability to design simple experiments

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc level qualification in molecular biology/biochemistry or a related discipline

  • Up to 3 years of relevant academic or industrial experience
