Biofidelity has developed a revolutionary molecular diagnostic assay, enabling the rapid, ultra-sensitive detection of DNA targets with a transformational simplification of workflows.
Using just four steps and standard laboratory instrumentation, our assays can detect as little as a single molecule of mutated DNA against the background of billions of healthy molecules present in a typical patient sample, enabling straightforward detection of clinically actionable genetic markers at the earliest possible stage.
Biofidelity is expanding its R&D team responsible for the development and optimisation of its core technology. Working alongside the assay development team, the role will include:
- Development of novel molecular techniques and tools for high sensitivity molecular diagnostics
- Characterisation and optimisation of molecular assays
- Design of complex multiplexed reactions
With a creative and ambitious mindset, you should have a PhD or equivalent industrial experience in molecular biology, with substantial experience in the development of molecular techniques and tools, along with a demonstrated ability to apply your knowledge and expertise to complex challenges. The ideal candidate would have experience in at least some of the following areas:
- High-sensitivity molecular assay development
- Multiplexed PCR/qPCR
- DNA/RNA extraction and sample preparation
- Isothermal amplification techniques
